How to Share One USB modem connection to Many Computers

Use of Internet Access via USB modem is now like a new trend among the people. Besides being easily taken away, the price is quite affordable as well be one reason why many people use it.
But there are times when the owner wants to share a USB modem for internet access, be it with friends, relatives or family at home. The easiest way is to replace the actual USB modem using Wireless Router, but it certainly costs no less. And in Indonesia the cost is the reason number one to be considered where they have to decide something.

Therefore, other solutions must be sought in order to remain able to share Internet access, but at minimal costs. Consider a few steps below, as a trick to share Internet access via Lan USB modem.

Then, plug the Lan cable to the computer / laptop to be connected.

Once the indicator shows that the computer is connected to each other, do the IP address settings on computers that have installed the USB modem (computer 1). The trick is to go into Network Connections from the tray menu or the Control Panel area, then click Local Area Connection


On the general menu select Internet Protocol (TCP / IP), click Properties and enter the corresponding IP address shown in the picture.


The next step is to make the same settings on the computer 2. It's just on the computer 2 is not necessary IP address settings, but simply by selecting Obtain an IP address automatically, as well as its DNS.

Click on the Wireless Terminals in Network Connections, then select the Advanced tab, then check the list in a column sharing the Internet connection, as shown in the picture.
