Google Earth Already Downloaded 1 Billion Times

 Google is happy because the success of one of its services, Google Earth. Reportedly, this virtual globe has been downloaded by more than 1 billion times, including versions of mobile applications, plug-ins and desktop client.

"We are proud of the achievement of a billion is, but we were more amazed at how people use Google Earth to exploring the world," Google said in a statement in their official blog on Thursday (06/10/2011).

Known, the service is indeed a lot to help people in various fields. An archaeologist from Perth, Australia for example who use Google Earth to identify archaeological sites in Saudi Arabia.
